Welcome
This course is in its third year and has undergone numerous evolutions and additions. Plus there is material at the site from previous years, and current course members will find their materials retained here as well. To make matters worse, your facilitator is a multitasker and chaos navigator, and does not want to be accused of mounting a course on a topic with burgeoning literature that has too few resources. I think a full meal with leftovers is preferable to a lite snack that leaves you hungry. The ride may leave you (and me!) breathless after 4 weeks but I think you'll be able to look back on it and say you enjoyed it and gained from the experience.
Regarding what I will ask you to do in the next 4 weeks: (updated Sept 22 as I watch participants work)
I ask that participants write a precis on 3 recordings during the course, and participate in the discussion forums when possible. As long as there is reasonable participation, I try to "evaluate" according to what participants seem to gain personally from the course rather than hold anyone up to an arbitrary standard.
But I understand that for the first time participant here, until the patterns emerge, things can appear confusing, so ...
Here are pages of introductions by various course members.

Notes and hits counter
Vance's todo list:
- I'll be adding this to Moodle resources shortly: "People would rather censor and block instead of educate and really figure out how to use some of these tools" - Will Richardson, May 21, 2006 EdTechTalk 46
- A cool resource, do you watch the program? http://www.bbcworld.com/click
- I want to add a MyChingo voice recorder to the Moodle
- Finally, is Bree on YouTube the new Jane Austin? I want to use Audacity to record the relevant bit from a recent On The Media (NPR) podcast and put the question to YOU, participants in the course.
